Urell joins BEAR Data from Red Card Solutions and will be responsible for growing and managing the sales organization as well as continuing to drive the company’s exponential growth. "Our firm has been working closely with Steve over the past year in a sales management consulting role with his company Red Card Solutions,” said Don James, CEO of BEAR Data. “He was able to deliver rapid revenue growth and increased market share through highly effective results-oriented sales practices. Steve's vast knowledge and success have made him a sought after sales expert and strategist. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated when the right sales team is armed with solid sales fundamentals, innovative sales strategy, and aggressive execution that they not only put their company in the game - they win. Steve's diverse sales and management background includes building high performance revenue engines for technology companies within the network & security integration, enterprise software, high end optical imaging, leading edge semiconductor test equipment, and DEC compatible storage and tape solutions marketplaces. As the COO of Network Catalyst, a leading independent network & security integration company, Steve successfully grew and ultimately sold the company to MTM Technologies, a provider of integration products and services in the areas of Infrastructure, Security, Convergence and Application access. Steve's held Executive Sales Management roles within the Enterprise Software Marketplace including Sybase and Versata where he built and grew the Intercontinental Sales Regions for both companies. While in direct Senior Management and Consulting roles at Sybase, Steve's leadership drove the region's hyper growth as well as the company's overall growth to nearly $1 Billion in revenue. While working for a Southern California based sales strategy consulting organization, Steve developed and delivered the structured Sales Methodology that was the key driver in Sybase's rapid growth from $80M to $400M in annual sales. Leveraging his deep experience and practical approach to selling, Steve directly facilitated numerous large account and specific opportunity sales plans producing some of the largest revenue closes in the industry.
